Default Rear Diff leaking?

I've had this issue as long as I've had the car. I have replaced the gasket twice. The last time I did it I just used that RTV silicone stuff to make a gasket. Everytime it leaks, almost immediately.

Do you have any advice or suggestions for me on how to fix this? Car is a 2001 GT

I'm pretty sure it's the cover. I placed a level on it and didn't notice any MAJOR warps on it. How would I know the differnce between the cover or the pinion seal?

Thanks.

Did a little reading, should hav ebefore posting. Unless the fluid is running from the front on down to the bac of the diff, I can't see it being the pinion seal. All the drips are comig from the back by the plate.

Ya if it was the pinion it would be wet up front also. Is the cover cracked? If all the gasket surfaces are clean before to apply new gasket maker and all the bolts are tight I don't know what it would be other the the cover itself being messed up. With the aluminum covers theses rearends have I could see it cracking also. You should maybe go to a bone yard and pic up a new cover for 10ish bucks and try that.
