Default Intake Manifold Questions????

Hey there guys I have a vacuum leak behind the manifold it seems like. I can hear the hissing and I also notice a misfire between 1500 to 2000 rpms. So here is what I have done so far I sprayed throttle body cleaner on all my hoses and didn't notice any fluctuating in the rpm. But when I took a hose and stuck one end to my ear and the other to the back of the intake manifold I could really hear it big time. My question is what is back there what hoses, or could it be a broke gasket. My next problem is I pulled two spark plugs out on the drivers side and there was coolant all in the well just in two of them the other two was dry. Would this be a sign of a broken gasket or maybe cracked intake.

The intake manifold gasket is blown, leaking. that is where the hissing and coolant leak is coming from. you need to change as soon as possible.

Ya I think you are correct on that one cause I wiped the water out in between my thermostat housing and cylinder 5 and I could see the water building up right under the intake and as well on the back of cylinder 8 I could see water building up. Should I just use a oem gasket or get a after market one? I have noticed my car loves oem parts for some reason. Thanks for the help as well much appreciated

If it's at # 5 carefully inspect the manifold itself where the composite meets the aluminum to be sure that it isn't leaking as this is very common. I have probably replaced more failed manifolds than failed gaskets.

You won't even be close to the head gaskets with an intake manifold job man

Alright Thanks man appreciate all the help. I also found the problem it was the intake manifold it was cracked between the thermostat housing and in the rear of the intake along with gaskets were cracked.

Okay guy I got everything back on and running now. No more hissing or water leakage so far. But I noticed that once my rpm start to go back down like it will drop from 900 to about 500 or 6ish with a little spitting and seems to run a little rough and it espically does it when I turn the ac or defrost on what else could be causing this something with the ac maybe? Should I of started a new thread for this. Sorry still new here
