i know there are many informative tranny posts here but i have a question... i have been trying to figure this one out for some time now, but cant get a for sure answere. i have a 2000 GT with the t-45 i believe. its slowly going bad on me w/103k miles. now i reading more and more that the newer tremec tko 500 and 600 are really great trannys. but will they fit directly in my car? i have close to 400hp, about 360rwhp and plan to get up to near 500. please help me out guys

 

yes it will fit. the trans crossmember may be diffrent but that should come with the kit. call tremac and ask if there is an install kit that is needed

 

what about a 3650 from an 04 stang...there is one going in 4 hours on ebay for a very resonable price..

 

i would stay away form a 3650 a friend of mine is killing his one with 15k on the car.

 

where is the best place to buy a tko 500? $1600 seems to be the going rate everywhere i have seen
