I purchased a 96 GT Convertible and noticed that there are no Sun Visors. When I search on eBay for compatible replacements, I note that some have a roof adapter piece and some do not. I've included a photo of what's already on my car.. does it appear that all I need is the visor without an attachment and the visor will fit into this piece, or is there something missing that requires replacement and the whole visor and roof piece.

 

I believe that the sun visor goes into that piece and there is a type of clip that holds it in place. To get that bracket off, you have to take off the A-pillar trim(look for the push pin on top) and pull it off. Also, the header trim panel just pops out, Then there are a few screws that holds the bracket in. Be careful with the wiring. Hope this helps.
