4V swap general question

4V swap general question
Say a person wanted to swap in a 4V from a mark VIII into their 96 GT.
Would one be able to use their existing harness and ECU?
I know the harness would require some modification to lengthen the coil wires. but is it really as simple as that?
I ask because i'm about to put a 4.6 into a fox...i have a complete donor car from which i intend to take all the parts...but i can get a 32V from a lincoln pretty cheap. so if it's as simple as lengthening a couple wires...adding another plug to the bottom of the alternator and having it tuned i think i will go that route.

now there's an expense i didn't figure. the intake is pretty pricy. manifolds shouldn't be too bad.

Woot! I have achieved guru status. school boy is correct, you can run the Mark VIII intake just fine. The Cobra intake might pick up a few HP, but IMO it's not worth the cost. You can even run the older 93-96 intake if you want, but the intake tube will be tricky.
