Default engine swap

im sure this question has been asked before but my browser shuts off every time i search tonight. i have an 00 gt. if i found a comparable year cobra engine would it just drop right in fine? i cant see there being any problem. i figure a cobra engine would be a better investment than modding out my current gt engine. any feedback would be great

Default RE: engine swap

Yes it will drop in just fine, but you will also need all the wireing harness and a computer for the Cobra. Unless you are getting the motor for dirt cheep it is going to cost you a pretty penny to do the swap. It would be cheeper for you to get a s/c of noe kind or another vs. dropping in the cobra motor.
