Default grinding in brake pedal

When I turn into a parking spot and I'm applying the brake it feels like it's grinding and the brake pedal will have resistance like it's trying to stop me from pushing the pedal in. It only happens when I have the wheel turned sharp and I'm moving at very slow speeds. Does anybody know what this could be?

Have you looked at the brake rotors? You can see them through the "spokes" in your wheel.
If you see ridges worn into them-time for new brakes. Most Auto shops will examine them for no charge.

Rotors and pads are brand new. It doesn't do it all the time just when I'm turning sharply and slowly. How can I test if it is the piston? I've heard it could be the abs sensor as well

sounds like the ABS is kicking on. Only way to truly tell would be to monitor each wheel speed with a scan tool while making the maneuver. willing to bed one of the sensors is damaged and dropping out causing abs to act up
