Default Shift points?

What are good shift points from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd for the 1/4 mile? My times are a bit high and part of it has to do with bad traction and to bad track prep., but maybe I could pick up a tenth or so with better shifting.

Go out and drive your car, and make ur decision from there. You can tell where to shift better than we can bc u have the car sitting in ur drive way.

Powershift. Make sure you don't miss a gear.

Shifting makes all the difference for manual cars at the track.

You literally keep your foot in the gas, and slam the clutch to the floor, shift and pop your foot off the clutch as fast as ya freakin' can.

Figure for a stock GT or near stock, 200-300 rpms before redline will be good. Your car is already falling flat on it's face near redline.

shift that thing right at redline. When I had my 01', if I remember right, I wounded out each gear, and went through the traps just redlining 3rd. It was perfect timing. I ran 14.27. I didn't powershift though.... might have been a tenth or so faster if i did

now w/ my auto i just sit back at keepr' floored my best time with her is 14.7 not bad for non pi auto

I've heard that powershifting the T-45 will destroy it. Like it can't handle it all, which is why I've been hesitant to do it.

1-2 shift about 5,750RPM
all other shifts at redline

this seems to work best for me, i've only powershifted about three times ever. For powershifting don't ever let off the gas, and at around 5k hit clutch and shift as fast as possible, should put you at redline when you let the clutch out.
