Default Car overheating!!! (Yes another thread about this)

Okay, in the past I have helped other people with this but now that it happened to me it's mind boggling.....

My Engine Cooling fan will not turn on, I have replaced the Fuse (it was blown), I replaced the Fan itself (It was ****ed, somehow it was completely stuck and I couldn't even spin it with my hand), today I replaced the CCRM (constant control relay module), I replaced my thermostat last time I took the intake manifold off which was like 3 months ago, but I haven't driven the car at all.

Now my question is.....has anyone ran across this before?? Could it be the SCT or ECU thats causing it or my wiring harness???

Thanks in Advance

JT

I might sound like a complete idiot here, but how can I check to make sure if it's plugged up or not?

Thanks

if you couldn't spin it by hand, your fan motor probably froze up...
Mine did that too. had to replace it. Go to Advanced Auto, they have the motor!

There is a seperate sensor for the cooling fan that senses the water temperature. Replace that and see if it helps.

Ok, what I have done before (not on a mustang but all cooling set ups are about the same) is. Take off the two heater hoses that go into the firewall to heater core. Get a scrap piece of a heater hose, put a garden hose connection on the hose going into the inlet of the heater core. Then get another piece of hose, enough to extend over the fender and down to the ground to avoid getting water all over the engine compartment. Turn on the hose and see if you get a good water flow out of the hose going to the ground. If you have a good flow, then the core is fine. If its real slow, then it has a blockage in it somewhere. It is possible by doing this, you can unplug the core but not in all cases. Check to see if any kind of s*** comes out the hose while running the water through. This task worked for me, hope it does for you. Just make sure everything else in cooling system is working first. Hope I was able to help.

What sensor are you refering to? The thermostat?

that one actually controls your temperature gauge...the other one is in your radiator
