Chirp 3rd?

how much hp is needed to chirp 3rd on 245/45/17 tires?

i know my car can spin all of first and part of second never tried to chirp third tho...

depends how good the tires are as well. it'd be hard to chirp slicks with less than a crapload and a half of HP.

I think i have done it twice in my nearly stock 98 GT. The tires were is so so condition. If i remember right, i powershifted third perfectly on the street and got it to chirp. Or you can just dump the car into third at 50+ mph and they will chirp.

i did it once on my stock 03 like 4.698gt said....just put her in 3rd going around 50ish. i had just gotten the car and the tires were in really good condition if i remember right. ive tried other times...but no dice.
