Default Cold Start Tick?

The car us fairly new to me. Im hearing a slight ticking after startup when its cold. It goes away when warmed up. Is this normal or should I be concerned? My Crown Vic's Ive owned in the past never did that. I changed the oil a few days ago with 6qts of 5w20 Royal Purple and matching filter. A friend told me to add some zinc additive? I don't know about that. I heard that was bad to add additives to engine oil.

Anyway, here's a link to a youtube video I made of it.

thats the only way to go, the exposed under the hood intake is a hot air intake, all they suck in is hot radiator wash

Yeah, that's why I swapped it. Got a black SVE one from LMR for $80. The other one, Spectre, was already on the car when I bought it.

If it's not very loud, and goes away in a min or two, it's probably piston slap. It usually only does it when cold, mine doesn't do it on a warm motor. Search the 4.6 forum for "piston slap" Tons of fun reading on it.
