Default top speed

so yah.. im looking at the tremec tko 600 tranny to put into my 96 gt. just curious, anyone know what the top speed is like with it?

You won't see a big difference with only that tranny change. The drag coefficient of the car is quite high and the difference will be less than 10mph. BUT, that tranny is great for race applications. Tough.

this may be just a little off topic, but...what all is needed to put a tko 500 or 600 on a 96-98 gt, i have a 97 and am in dire need of a new tranny. thanks!

well i mean like, what can the tranny actually handle for the top speed?

im picking one up along with a 4.6 supermodular from dss racing (hopefully) depending on how much it'll cost to get it up here (western canada) since im not familiar with any shops around here for performance.

the tko 500 would probably have a better top end just because of the gear ratios right? (taller) the 600 is shorter.

or am i mistaken :x
