LONGTUBE HEADERS ARE DYNO PROVEN 22 RWHP ON A 4.6, AND IF HE HAS THE K&N FIFK OR W/E THOSE COME W/ A DYNO SHEET OF A STOCK 99GT IN THE BOX THAT SHOWS 10 HP.

well i dont know for sure wat teh deal is..i still think its sad that all the parts only net about 30-40hp thats pretty damn sad..but i have ran an evo II and won. without gearing..maybe im a good driver i dont know...i run my car pretty well i through a HD clutch in and gears around xmas..unless i sell this thing..but its possible to beat 96-98 cobras and mach 1s...ive already ran 2 new GTs not impressed..def to heavy. but to stay on topic yea im gunna try to get a dyno but i really think this car has more ***** than others 2 kids on my campus have similar set ups and their cars are slow as dirt..

yea and as andy98gt said those are dyno proven on stock 4.6L sometimes automatci with no other modifications to help it my current set up is BBK LT's BBK off road H, magnapack cb along with K&N FIPK and superchips tune

With all the bolt-on mods so far, why not add pulleys? And with a full exhaust, why not a 70 or 75mm tb/plenum. Your exhaust is fine, but you need to pull more O2 into the 4.6. Also, did you advance the timing with the tune? Should be able to run 14 degress advance safely. I really think you're restricted on the intake side of things.

Also, I've read that for the manual tranny, multiply flywheel hp by .85. (assumes a 15% loss), and .80 for auto (20% loss).

Dyno proven on the perfect test car with the perfect tune to go with it. Believe what you want. We're just telling you the reality. Don't cry to us because you didn't get the 280+ RWHP you wanted. I'm telling you a full bolt on GT isn't even 300 RWHP. You'll need atleast p+p heads, cams, all the goodies like that.

Those numbers are BS. Those gains might be on a blown 4.6 with a superaggressive tune. bolt on a set of lt's and look for 10-15 at the wheels. K&N is the same thing. Look for 3-5.

question i have LTs, O/r hpipe, magnapack Cb, K&n Fipk, superchips tune...my question is the hp that i have stock 99+gts have 260bhp and average of 235 245rwhp...now i have invested in technically about 70hp worth of parts...at least, the very least the parts are as this headers 15hp o/r pipe 15 k&n 10hp MP Catback 10hp, chip 10hp...that is 60hp puttin me at 320hp you loose about 20-30 flyweel so 295 300 rwhp is what i should have guys have told me i only have 250-265...!!?? i dont understand at the most i could have rigtht now if i got what the manufactures claim i could have 370bhp and about 340rwhp..can anyone clear this up for me im truly lost i thought i knew how this worked but now im sure im lost...how can i invest 2k in parts and pick up 40hp...???please help its needed thanks...
Are u guys smokin crack? This car has nothing close to 270rwhp. Remember Jdaniels GT that had 26x to the wheels with every mod know to man? Theres no way he went from 225 to 270 with Fullexhaust and CIA with a tune. U guys are getting into full bolt on hp here. If he had cams, i could believe it, but this is just crazy. I say he puts down 258hp on a dynojet. Dont get his hopes up. If someone tells him hes got 275 to the wheels, **** hes beating stock mach 1's and 96-98 cobras. I say no way.

theblkstang99 just a hint, when u are figuring RWHP and BHP, use .12 to figure power lost through a manual tranny.
i.e. your car. 290bhp x .12 = 34.8hp lost. 290-34.8 = 255.2 RWHP. Get it dynoed and prove me wrong.
Who said he has 225 RWHP? I've seen STOCK GT's dyno 245. But maybe it might be a tad lower like 265ish. It's not impossible to add 20hp with those mods.


GET A DYNO!!!! Then tell us what you end up with.
Are u serious? Ive never heard of that. Thats 280bhp. Is that with an 4hr iced intake or what? i dont get it. Id expect my car to be just north of that with my mods.
