Cranks but will not start sometimes
Hi I have a stock 98 GT. Feel bad for me already?
Starting to notice every once in a while like once every couple of weeks the car wont turn over just cranks away. I trie a few times and sometimes remove the key then it starts up.
I have a newer fuel pump and I have a high pressure fuel gauge on the fuel rail and have 30psi to start. No leak down issue here. I see the fuel pressure rise on acceleration to 45psi or so. The car runs fine when it does finally start. Idle is good.
I have new injectors (24lbs) and new wires.... BUT old stock igniter packs
What is in the circuit that can cause this? If a there is a bad sensor would it not prevent cranking?
All you need is spark, compression and fuel and I know I have fuel. Must be spark?
Its hard to pinpoint because the car always does manage to actually start.....
Any one have any suggestions?
