Default supercharged GT

on a basically stock block, with a good and safe tune, consistent maintainance, and running the correct octane, can i SAFELY run supercharged, and if you think so, what boost psig would you reccomend? I have heard many mixed opinions on this. Some say that running the right octane AND with a good safe professional tune, you can run @8-10 psig forever w/out problems on a stock GT block. Butm, on the other hand, i have heard of people blowing their motor to hell on 8 psig. all opinions greatly appreciated...thanks by the way...mine is an 00 GT...comp cams...accufab..c&l...bbk long tubes x-pipe no cats.. 4.10 rear end with a sct tuning job from dallasmustangs...

I say 9 PSI for stock everything. Blowing your motor on 8 PSI isn't normal. Maybe it was a turbo @ 8 PSI, that's a whole nother story.

If you have cams, you really need to check into it. You will need blower specific cams. Other than that anything 9psi or lower and you should be fine.

Not without knowing the exact specs on them.

that's what i have. i have the v2-sq with the 8 pound pulley with the AFM powerpipe. 10psi. works like a champ. i won't go any higher until i forge my bottom end.

Trade them out for stock ones, then sell them on ebay. You may have to measure them to find out exactly which comp cams they are.

You sound like you have the beginnings of a pretty good n/a setup...why the change? If you don't mind me asking.
