yup it is, took her a spin today and think i need to set reset base idle its idleing kinda low and tends to rev up when put it gear then falls to like maybe 300 then recovers and idles around 600 to 650 a tad low for my taste

FYI: The TPS voltage is also affected by the mounting. If you loosen the mounting screws, there's enough "slop" in the mounting holes that you can adjust the voltage by moving the TPS body then tightening it back down.

It depends on the tps, if its factory or oem replacement for the new 4.6l engines it wont have any adjustment at all other than resetting the idle screw to factory with a feeler gauge.

But people have been known to use an 1/8th inch drill bit to slot the holes of the tps in order to make an adjustment on it, but really the car should run fine any where from .89-1.0 volts at closed position.

OP make sure when you do a base idle relearn that your turn every thing on high including A/C. This will insure that computer learns idle strategy even under load from the alt, ac compressor. That should get you where you want to be idle wise, 750-850 adding 50 for autos 800-900 rpm is acceptable.

With stage two cams you'er going to need 850 RPM at a minimum, as you already know you can set this with a tuner.

This is not the first time I've heard this story i read one where they took the iac back three times, I think on mustang evo or something like that.

Good to hear you got it solved
