Default drag or track

hey guys help me out.
i got a problem
my stang is so far stock, and the warraty ends in the spring. upon this day, my car will become evil and eat all others on the road. but it needs a little help.

im having trouble deciding between

A. Superchips Tuner, 70mm throttle body w/ plenum, K&N cold air intake

or

B. Steeda G-trac stage 1 handling kit (strut tower brace, 1.5 inch drop springs, caster camber plates) and a magnaflow exhaust

I voted little bit of both,
However I am all for the stang as a "drag race" / "back street brawler" / "stop light racer" type of car
for the corners... Id go with the STI

are you 100% stock right now?
If so I would go with OPTION A. (and add the MAGS in option A if yo ucan afford it)
that way youd have CAI,PLEN,TB and EXHAUST... all together.

I would get a little more power before the handling/suspension package. just my opinion.

GOOD LUCK!

I think it's best to decide a suspension direction you want to go and follow through with it without compromising. What I mean is that you can't have it both ways- drag suspension vs raod suspension. Yeah, you can have a minimally balanced suspension that will perform ok in both scenarios, but your car won't really shine in either situation. I will say this, though. A road handling suspension is easier to use at the dragstrip than is a drag suspension at an SCCA solo II event. Meaning that, of the two suspension setups, the road suspension route is still usable at the strip moreso than a drag setup is usable at an SCCA event or in the twisties.

You can make your car launch well at the track but it'll take sickening amounts of money to make your car take a corner well.

Make her fast at the track.

Dude, Mustangs were not designed to handle well. You can put all sorts of nifty suspension parts on it to make it handle well, but if you're going for a car that pwns in the corners, you should've bought a different car. Make it fast in a straight line or sell it.

I agree with Birdieman4.
A drag setup is no fun on the street but, you can have fun at the strip with a street setup. My 88GT all lowered and heavy springs can still do 11.6 at the strip. My 86GT with drag launch won't take a curve as fast as a lifted Jeep.

Is it an Auto or Stick?

I say go with suspension and you won't regret it. The things you mentioned power-wise aren't going to change your driving experience all that much. Ever thought of putting 4.10s in the rear?
