my dad heard noises from steering when he did 40 over an unmarked construction patch in the road (picture a drop of about and inch randomaly taking up the width of the lane and then going back to regular height about three feet later) and the guys at the stealership told us some bushings had been sheered off

well, it hasnt gotten any better and it ALMOST sounds like a scraping sound at this point, and it sounds like its audible when going over bumps in the road. arg. definitely doesnt seem like a power steering issue at this point unfortunately.
