visual inspections can fix a LOT of issues

It sure can, i was all excited about getting it back together without a hiccup and obviously overlooked the hose. First lesson learned.

WhiteFox GT makes a good point. I am always telling my pit-crew to start with the basics and then work their way to the more difficult solution. Of course, sometimes I don't abide by my own philosophy. Nothing beats preventive maintenance.

Mark Dean, I started drag racing in 1965 and have never looked back. I have run just about every class from FX to True Street.
Presently I will be racing my 2014 Mustang GT, NMRA Comp Eliminator, for this 2018 NMRA season.
I just put together a 331 stroker in a 1987 foxbody. Highly modified with a 200 hit of juice.
At my last NMRA event the announcer said, I was to old to give up racing.
Best of wishes with your ride.

Holy smokes !....That's awesome Buck. I might mess with this 02 for the rest of the year, but now that I've seen and heard what it takes to build one I'm going to look for a Foxbody for next summer. As i said a friend has one with a 392 stroker if that sounds right?, and he's eating up new V8 Camaro's and our other friends Dad has a Hemi Charger and he beat that too !

Yes Mark, that 392 stroker demands a lot of respect. I like that package a lot.
Presently I am consulting on the building of a 363 Dart stroker, with 88mm turbo.
Tell your father to try out that 808hp MOPAR package. My teeth are still rattling.
Best of wishes with your project.

Mark Dean, Sorry for my goof up. My condolences on the loss of your father.
You have my curiosity perked up. Is your friends dad running a 5.7 in that Charger or a 6.4 ?
I'm trying to get a feeling for that 392 Ford before I invest money into the Dart 363.
Would you send me the best ET on that 392?

Oh it's ok Buck, my "Dad" had better things to do in life and thought hot rods are a waste of time and money Lol...I'll find out today the year and engine size of his Dad's Charger. I know that Allen (my buddy) had to put a cage in his Foxbody before he could run at the track again so there must be some speed cut off ?. It's crazy quick, when he heats his tires up real good so they bite, the driver's side front will twist and the wheels come up, so cool !
