1997 Convertible Mach 460 w/ Pioneer Head Unit No Sound Passenger Side
I have a 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra convertible with the Mach 460 stereo. It still sounds nice, but the CD and tape do not work. I would like to be able to listen to music from another source besides FM. I was also hoping to upgrade for other obvious reasons. I got a nice Pioneer with all the options I wanted from Crutchfield with a Metra 70-5510 adapter and a nice OEM storage pocket to finish off the install.
I had everything hooked up and checked everything at least 4 times. There is no sound from the passenger side front and rear tweeter and the mids or small woofers didn't really seem to be sounding their best either, but that could have been because of the unbalanced sound due to the other issue. It sounds better with the old broken components installed, so I put it back.
I am puzzled as to what is wrong here. Could it be that the lower module's harness needs to somehow be tied back to the main harness. What else should I look for here? I'm out of ideas.

Could simply be the radio you put in, the right channel is bad.
I put in an Eonon Android radio, used all the required adapters, worked
fine.
The main harness doesn't carry any audio, that smaller black one does,
and you only have 4 channels on it. So, it's pretty simple to wire up.

Try reversing sides, put the right side outputs on the left, and left on the
right. If the right now has sound, and the left does not, then the radio is
bad. SO, reverse white and gray, and reverse green and violet...

A problem with the deck was my first thought. The lower right mid/woofer speakers work with that unit. I also moved the RCA connections around with no change. The head unit is not the issue.
I read somewhere that the Mach 460 woofers are not stereo but only mono and the the 4 tweeters are stereo. I've heard that its kind of a goofy setup. Not sure it that is true.

IF they are subwoofers, then yes, they are mono, with left and right channels, but that should
be handled by the amp, after the harness. Make sure the amp turn on lead is connected. Your
aftermarket will have either amp power or antenna power, use either/or.
The Mach Audio is not the same harness as basic system.
I had to buy a harness FOR the shaker, that came with (C4). That is for the
amp power and audio for the door subs. The other two harnesses are for
The deck and door speakers (C1), the middle for Can Bus (C2). The harness
kit for non shaker only have C1 and C2. This is for MY year...
Mach 460, the right and left subs are connected in parallel, from one channel, from
the AMP.
This should be your harness:
You may have the wrong one, without amp...
