Best Lowering Springs??
I have a 04 GT convertible and I want to lower it. Who makes the best springs? I don't want to drop it a lot just lower the stance. Do you need to do a bumpsteer or bushings?

pitch,
Depending on how low, yes, you may need bumpsteer, offset rack bushings, or C&C plates. Mostly, you'll need an alignment. If you stay in the 1" range, you'll want an alignment. Go 1.5 and lower, you'll needs more. That being said, you can always add the offsets with new springs and have the alignment. Best of both worlds.
Eibach makes great springs, as do Steeda and H&K(?). I have the DZSport (2" drop) and have had no problem. However, I didn't actually drop 2". I'm waiting to see if the car settles over time down closer to the 2" mark. I'm 1" lower up front and about 1/2 in the rear. Don't get a single rate or drag springs, unless you plan on doing just that. Progressive rate provides a decent ride and better handling.
Good luck and hope this helps.

LOL, what are H&K springs.. I would deffenintly go with H&R's.. It always seems like half the people on here will say Eibach's and the other half say H&R's but the finally opinion is up to you.

i ordered streetlines but they sent me pro kits...
the car looks like it "should have" if consumers didnt suck--- the ride is 10 times better in every way....
i didnt want a slammed car ( last one was dropped about 6 inches and jsut got sick of it) pro kit is the best way to go in my opinion.. or steeda...
hard shifting is less jerky too.

Steeda claims their springs are made by the same manufacturer that supplies most all of the NASCAR teams. Materials and workmanship are better than most. www.steeda.com
