Default Parking brake issues

Anyone have any experience with the parking brake on an 02?
The old rear cables were seized up and if you lifted up on the handle it did absolutely nothing
I replace the 2 rear cables and the front cable and adjusted the mechanism on the handle itself.
It pulls up but you really have to yank and it does hold the wheels but you have to literally pull it very hard.
think maybe the problem is in the rear calipers?
thanks

If the rear calipers are not sliding on their pins, you will not get any holding power from the parking brake. You'll just be stretching the new cables. Definetly inspect the calipers slide pins and pistons to make certain 1) the pins are not stuck and 2) the caliper pistons are not frozen.
