yeah...he has a 1996 cobra fairly stock, it has headers i think, and runs a dry kit of 150....it runs low 12s

so just check out some different kits, then look on ebay for it pretty much?

alright....now im not saying 150 is safe for it i dont know or i wouldnt be on here for this same thing lol, but thats what he ran at the track the last time i went with him

I'd say go with the Zex wet kit... it will run 75, 100 or 125 shot and is simple enough to set up... they say 0 timing retard for a 75 shot, 2 degrees for 100 shot, 4 degrees for a 125 shot. There's a rule of thumb around somewhere for shot size to timing retard... better to get a chip that will store two tunes if you end up running over a 125 shot... one tune for street driving, and a second for when you use nitrous.

Cobra motors will be able to take a little more of a shot than a GT... not much though. Like it's been said, 75 is perfectly safe, 100 is pushing it, and 125 will be ok with little use and a good tune.

Steeda Timing adjuster or something like that, or get a handheld tuner (popular ones made by DiabloSport and SCT) and you can change it with that. OR get it dyno tuned.

yeah i know those tuners are like 400 bucks arent they....they do all kinds of stuff, can i get a less expensive one that only does the timing?
