Which '96 Cougar engine, 3.8L V6 or 4.6L V8?

If possessed of numerous mechanical and electrical skills, an installer might use either. Numerous mounts and brackets might be needed, possibly made up just for the swap. Fuel system modification may be necessary. PCM requirement would be use of '96-designated engine type.
