Default X or H pipe

If you had a choice to go with the BBK H pipe or the BBK xpipe to go with BBK longtube headers which would you go with?
I want the most gain with the best sound. Im not looking for really loud but a nice sound. which you go with?

search some posts around here, code3gt just put up sound clips for both H and X pipes. AND answered your question about horsepower etc.

yeah, what he said. if you get anything with LTs and catless midpipe, it's going to be uber loud no matter what midpipe and catback you choose anyway.

The X-pipe will be much louder than the H-pipe.

Xpipe = LOUD and deep
Hpipe = loud and DEEP

X will give you more horsepower, but as far as sound, its really a preference, listen to code3gt's sound clips he posted, that will help you decide. Im personally going with an o/r Xpipe for the loudest (and I think nicest sounding) sound.

I have BBK LT's with a BBK O/R H and love the sound coupled with my Magnaflow Catback. I prefer the sound of an H, I like my exhaust note to be nice and deep. It wont be "uber" loud as long as you chose the right catback. I had Magnapacks with this setup before and it was really loud, but not the kind of loud I was looking for. Above 3grand it gave off this machine gun tin metal fart can noise, did not enjoy that. So I switched to the Magnaflow catback and it sounds muuuuch better. I was driving the other day and some rice was behind me. So I got on it and pulled away from him. At the light the guy pulls up next to me and asks what exhaust I was running. He said my car sounded stock when I was just cruising, but as soon as I got on it he said it sounded mean as hell. So you can still have a loud setup that is tame at lower RPM's.

I'm tired of hearing about how X-pipes give more power than H-pipes this isn't true!

I've seen articles in magazines doing direct comparisons, X and H in all cases were within 1-2 peak HP... and in most cases H delivered slightly better power over the band.

I'm going with that same set up BBK LT, BBK off road H pipe, and Bassani. The best price that I have found is on MRT. If someone knows of a better price will you let me know, thanks.
