Exhaust questions
I think i am going to go with the Bassani composite exhaust with cats becuase that is all I am finding online. I am also getting BBK Lt headers and BBk H pipe. What sound difference would I see if I go with an offroad H pipe or if i go with a H pipe with cats. also would there be drone? I think thats what its called, where you get that popping sound as your engine revs down

RE: Exhaust questions
An o/r midpipe compared to a catted midpipe is a big difference in my mind. The catted midpipe will not be as loud and will produce somewhat of a deeper sound. The o/r pipe will produce a deep sound as well, slightly higher pitched, but is much much louder imo.. especially at WOT, theres not comparison. So it really is a sound and some HP gains that will influence your decision.
Personally when I do my exhaust, Im going with an offroad xpipe hands down.
And "drone" is the irritating noise you hear in lowering RPM's. The popping is just called "popping" when you downshift, and most catback will produce some kind of popping, although it sounds amazing. It really doesnt pop that much at all. You definitely don't want your exhaust to drone though, (for instance the "flows"). I don't think you will have a droning problem.

Ya big difference!!! i have the O/R X-pipe and my bud's got the bassani x-pipe with cats...and personally....not the fact that its my car, but i honestly believe, my car sounds way better, and the o/r puts down a little more power.(no restriction) and sounds better..its a win win situation in my opinion...but thats me

RE: Exhaust questions
im not familiar with bassani but i have heard they make great quality. i have heard them and they sound nice but what are you looking at just a cat-back and mid-pipe. if so get stainless steel for the quality and it lasts much longer. what the $800 for just the cat-back? i didn't know they were that expensive.

RE: Exhaust questions
The popping you should only have if you decide to go with an O/R midpipe. I have a Magnaflow O/R x and Magnaflow catback. I'm not familiar with the bassani lineup, but I can tell you this. You do NOT want a baffled muffler with an O/R midpipe. It's gonna be loud as **** and pop like hell. Some people like that, but I just think it sounds bad. If you are going with LT's, your car is going to be loud and deep regardless of the mid pipe having cats or not. Sounds like you have a good setup going. Good luck!

RE: Exhaust questions
The only site that i could find them for an 03 mustang was for $800 stainless steel.
I found some cheaper ones but there were only for like 01 and 2002s
im going with Bassani catback with BBK Lt and BBk H pipe, so if I dont want as much popping then i should get a catback H-pipe?
