Default Best Radar Detector???

I'm planning on buying a radar detector sometime soon, and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on them? I've heard the Valentine-1 is a good choice. What do you guys think? Thanks-Kyle

V1, Escort Passport 7500/8500 are the three most expensive, yet best detecters on the market right now.

Or you could cheap out and get a Cobra or Whistler... which'll last for a year.

i've had the same Whistler since I was 16 (about 7 years now). It was about 120 bucks or so, and I've never had a problem with it. It's saved me from prob over 100 speeding tickets

V1, solo s2, whistler, passport. i have the solo s2 cordless and i love it, it picks up radar from very far away. i paid about 350 bucks, but very worth it. i had a radioshack special that i bought for about 99 bucks and it was a piece of ****. get the better brands its worth the money.

I have a cobra. Yeah I know its one of the cheapest ones but it does work. So far im satisfied with it. Had it for 3 years now. Sometimes it picks up false signals near buildings and such, but overall its been pretty good.

Ive got a "cobra" that cost around $150. Tested it with a cop buddy of mine, picked up his k/ka and x band from almost a mile away, around curves in the fog! anyhow, I can't remember my model # :-p

Valentine 1.You do get a false alarm everyonce in a while but the tracking arrows let you know it's actually a false alarm. They tell you where the signal is coming from and you can tell the difference between a cop behind you and one infront of you using instant on.The number of targets are also displayed letting you know if there is another signal mixed in with the same door openers that you pass everyday.V1's are also upgradeable so there's no built-in obsolesence.Their customer service is first rate also.
