How much horsepower have people here gained from the simple yet effective plenum and throttle body upgrade?

 

I havnt had it done but, it depends on if you have CAI, and what kind of throttle body and plenum, from what ive heard maybe 15hp if you have a good CAI.

 

I picked up 8rwhp and 6rwtq with my TB/Plenum. not alot but i could feel the difference, especially in second gear at high RPM'S. I bought my combo used on ebay for $250. I think it's worth it if you have a cold air intake. but i wouldn't spend the $400 on the accufab combo people talk about. the c&l plenum with the bbk tb is a good setup.

 

I have the same setup. I love the stiffer throttle, and the better response. I bought mine slightly used off a friend for $150. So it was a VERY price worthy mod for me. I agree with bb though.....I woudn't spend $400 for it.

Im guessing 10-11 rwhp from the accufab tb & plenum. And about total from 24rwhp from full intake.

I wish I had hard evidence on the dyno #, but in any case I probly would be disappointed

 

Good eye, I was wondering what people thought of the combo and to see about what the percentage of people who have done this mod compared to the number that hasn't. I am a MustangForums sponsor and I am offering that particular combo on my store. Maybe I should Make it a full intake combo, Cold Air, throttle body, and plenum? Any more interest in that? Maybe I can even add in a manifold, didn't they send out TSB's on the the plastic upper manifold because it would crack?

 

2 intakes, one with an aluminum front OEM($179), the other is from Foxlake for $1200 or so.

 

Agreed. I had my CAI before I put on my TB and Plenum combo and I noticed a really good difference with it. Definatly a good set up...
