I dont get it b/c I mean they're fast for the money plus I got mine with low miles (67,000) for only 5,000 in mint condition cuz the guy was moving but I mean a 99 woulda cost me about 10,000 now I can take that 5.000 and invest it back into my 96 GT and it would be faster than a 99 GT that I woulda bought,

Unless you have the 5k sitting around, there isn't any way to "invest" it back in the car. And if you have 10K laying around just to blow on the car, I doubt you are gonna be worried about the payment.

I have a basically stock 96 GT, but its clean on the outside. Alot of people admire my car, I dont know why. I bought it b/c I need a daily driver for my work which is 40+ miles one way. My last daily was a 00 Ranger with a blower. That thing was a true sleeper, it ran high 13s on some crappy tires. In Ranger terms, 13s are awesome. In Mustang terms, 13s are pretty much normal. If you want a fast car buy a Cobra, if you want car that you can work on to make faster than a Cobra, buy a nice beater (96-98 GT). Either way, youll be driving a v8 mustang and theres no stopping you to go fast in the v8 Mustang world. As for my plans Im either considering a 4.6 4 valve with a nice hit of giggle gas or a prepped 2 valve with a blower. In the end not many 99 - 04 GTs will stand ground. But to each his own on the body styles.

Yeah but after the 99-04 puts a couple grand in mods they get to a point virtually unattainable for the 96-98's.
