i think i'll just go with the 3.73s...i've read some posts about people mentioning the noise on the highway with 4.10s. i want to be able to listen to a cd at a resonable volume instead of blasting it. or talk on the cell phone without having to yell at the person on the other end.

he's right. people that say 3.73s usually don't even have gears. i listened to the idiotas that say 3.73 for highway driving, supercharger, etc etc. if i knew then what i kow now, i would have gotten the 4.10. maybe even 4.30s. the noise on the highway isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. i have SLP LM2s, which is by no means a quiet exhaust. i hear my radio just fine whe it's only turned up 1 or 2 notches. going 70mph at 2100RPM, 2300RPM isn't much worse when i'm going 80 either, which is where you'd be with 4.10s at 70.

GET the 4.10's you will love them espicall with that stall!!!!! DO NOT GET THE 3.73's!!!!!! I have a auto and defently wound not go lower that 4.10's with a auto!!!! But it is all up to you get whatever you want, just don't come on her saying that you should have listened to us and that you should have got the 4.10's and not the 3.73's. You have been informed on it now go get what you want.

i've said in countless posts 3.73s for a twin screw or roots and 4.10 for a centrifugal. there's a HUGE difference between a KB and a vortech. you can't spout off something said on one site with 1 particular brand of supercharger and label it as being true for everything. i have a vortech same as you and would love to get 4.10s if it didn't cost me another 500 for the gears + install.

how do you know the best 1/4 time gear is 3.73? i assume you're basing this on your identical cars except one has 4.10 and one has 3.73. md on this site shaved a couple tenths off his time going from 3.73 to 4.10. go rummage through thousands of old posts if you're bored.

NO offense, but that article also said headers give no HP gains, and sometimes cause you to lose HP. I think what Nanaki was trying to say was, those are recommendations for people who have a KB, if not they suggest get a KB, and then follow there recommendations.
