before i bought my car it was involved in a police chace and got hit. Now it is fixed and everything, only thing is there are no air bags..... looks bad to be detailed.
Do you guys know where online to see some airbags or steering wheels (just to price check...too lazy to go to the junkyard) i was thinking of putting a 5.5" dvd player in the passenger side how would that look and be ? if anyone can help i thank you

if you live somewhere that requires inspections you need to have the airbag in that passenger side.

and i don't know exactly how much they cost but they are expensive.

Best bet is to check with the local ford dealer, they will have the proper parts to install the airbags and replace the plastic covers... It'll be expensive, but thats the only way to get it done right. On a side note, what are you doing buying a car with deployed airbags, I'd bet money that the frame is damaged, since the airbags are set off by forward motion :-p Get that checked and if it's not too late try to get the lemon laws to allow you to get you're money back :=-p

Why would he get his money back? He was aware that the car had been hit, I'm assuming, when he bought it.

Airbags are expenisve to replace if I recall correctly.

Yeah, they are about $1000 each. Also known to be a pretty high theft item because of what they are worth.

i would definately go to a salvage yard.. its gonna be alot cheaper. there are plenty of online salvage yards that can help you find your part. thats what i did when i got my bullitt cluster. i put in a query and they called me the next day with options

I remeber that a while back...wasn't there a big spurt in people stealing air bags once?
