I have a UPR quadrant and firewall adjuster; works fine however its not going to lighten up the clutch. Sounds like you may have an aftermarket clutch.

How many miles are on it? My clutch was hard as ***** when it was fried... Make sure it's not slipping or anything and then go from there because if ur clutch is done your loosing a **** load of power...

It's probably a complete waste of money. You've most likely got issues with your clutch cable. Buy a new OEM one as they are better than the aftermarket adjustable ones. Look at the old one for melting or shreading to see if you can figure out what was wrong with it. A friend of mine found one made by the same company as OEM but it was longer and without a bracket. It was perfect with his long tubes because the stocker kept melting and seizing. Trust me though, 90% chance it's the cable, 9% chance it's the clutch, 1% chance it's the quadrant or pedal assembly.

If there is peddle pressure its not going to be the cable... its actually pulling on the clutch.

There is the same exact problem on a friend's car. He was able to still drive it but it took a ton more effort. We thought it was his clutch (he's got a king cobra) but it turned out that once he put in a new OEM style cable, it was like butter. The line gets friction or single thin strands cut off and get caught, possibly at the openings kind of springing back the other way. You can still pull the clutch but it's alot harder. It doesn't have to be snaped for it to need to be replaced. For the record, the MM quadrant is the best on the market. Better than Steedas single or double hook or any of the tripple hooks. There have been problems with some of the other quadrants(like UPR) where when used at the farthest setting, the back edge actually digs into the cable and starts to cut it over time.

If you get a cable setup, do yourself a favor and get a double hook, billet quadrant as well. It probably won't help the clutch to feel much lighter, but it will make it a bit smoother with the billet quadrant. Ford uses a cheap, plastic one that pretty much sucks. I use these in all my stangs; i recommend Steeda.
