You can try better gas, but superchips suck and I suspect that being your problem, your intake & exhaust is fairly modified for that hunk of crap.

I agree with Dan, how come you installed a Superchip without any sig mods to your motor...that does n't make sense to me..waste of money and resources (for now), unless you are thinking of doing more heavy mods later. If your banks are really Lean, let me tell you, lean conditions are not good, it can kill your engine.

I'll tell you a few reasons I got the chip. It takes off your governor and rpm limiter. It also changes fuel curves and ads hp. I could tell when I got it, and I got it about 2 years ago. I also have PI heads, cams, and lower intake sitting in my shed. I'm sending them off to get ported and polished in the next week or so. Then a few weeks later getting them installed. So I got some mods in the bag, but back to the question of being lean. What could I do to fix this, better gas?, bigger injectors (if so what size), new chip? What! What! What! Or what can I look for in the future after the P.I. mods?

I'll call the place where you bought the chip to have it recalibrated or reprogrammed. Too much air is getting in through the intake, not enough fuel..bigger injectors will be te next thing?, fuel pump?....or make is a fake out because the chip is not well programmed, just make sure that your engine doesnt blow off, thats the main concern. Also trying erasing those codes to see if they come back, if they do then something real is happening.

well I would pull the chip...til you do..you don't need todrive 150 mph anyway and ******* a stock engine for what if $$$ is not involved you wasting it..with all those mods the chip will be useless and you'll need a pms/tweecer or a f.a.s.t. system..

what exactly does this means:

quote: .........."It also changes fuel curves and ads hp", are you noting a huge chnge in fuel economy?..to the good side I mean..this may explains the lean condition.

Here this is a quote from superchip.

This easy to install plug-in module improves the overall performance of your car, truck or SUV. All modules improve the ignition and fuel curves throughout the entire RPM range for both part throttle and wide open throttle positions which will give you maximum performance at all times. The module dramatically improves the factory Ford electronic transmission by giving a firmer, more responsive shift pattern and raises the shift point RPM slightly. In most cases, this module also eliminates the top speed limiter.

Yeah the chip is kinda old, I guess I need to dump it for a good one. I've heard a lot about this tweecer. Whats some good chips and what should I look for? I guess one I can change settings would be the best.

You need to dump the chip, unless you buy a chip that was specifically burned for certain mods in mind I would never spend my money on one.
