gonna change my trans filter this weekend. i called advance auto & auto zone. they just had one listing apiece, while o'riellys auto parts asked which automatic i have. uhh, don't know. have the 3.27 rear if that matters. how do i tell which one i have?

 

A 1996 and later auto trans is a 4R70W trans. Look in the drivers door jamb on the production sticker for the trans code under where it says TR, thats if they ask you for the code.

But it says he has a 98, doesn't that mean he would have the T45 transmisson? Or if it is an auto does it have an entirely different transmisson?
