Some lowering springs will really help the appearance, coupled with some dark window tint and you will have a sleak looking car. <img src=uploads/Dan02GT/BBA7F_mustang.JPG border="0">

Personally, I believe that's all the mods a 02+ GT needs to look great.

As for performance, you should start with your exhaust. If money permits, some headers (shorties & midlengths if you're on a budget), ideally long tube headers. I'd go with a nice Magnaflow catted x-pipe followed with Magnaflow mufflers, that alone without headers should be a nice 13-18RWHP gain..with some headers you can expect upwards of 25+RWHP.

After you do your exhaust (or vice versa) it's time to look into modifying your intake. The biggest restriction is your stock MAF sensor, upgrade that ASAP. A throttle body would be a good mofication if you plan on having the upper intake ported which recent dyno studies show a 10HP gain from that alone.

You should SERIOUSLY consider gears, 4.10's are IDEAL for the gearing of the 5 speed transmission equipped in late model GT's. Some people here have gone with 3.73's and wish they chose the 4.10's. At highway speeds 4.10's are typically only turning 200RPM higher making for minimal gas mileage loss. Around town you will actually see an increase because you can short shift, starting in 2nd, 4th, 5th.

I hope that gives you some idea's...<edited><editID>Dan02GT</editID><editDate>37998.9675578704</editDate></edited>

$700 bucks for an intake is pointless on a Romeo 4.6 when a couple bills at a machine shop can net you the same HP gains. Around town 4.10's will acheive better gas mileage than 3.73's. For HP, I'd avoid Mac as it's similar to Flowmaster's baffle design.

I agree w/pretty much everything he had to say. 2 points I'd like to add is if someone says 3.73's...DON'T LISTEN if you are keeping your car N/A. If you are going to be stubburn...have some friends take you for a test drive w/ea. of the gears...that way I we wont have to say "told ya so." Also, Dan...my Bassani midlengths were not a budget price lol!!! I would have went w/LT's, but chi-town has emissions, &amp; I just figured it'd be safer in the long run, plus I like my setup</P>

You know GSXR, when you go for the emissions testing now, they don't check the exhaust anymore. All they do is plug a code scanner into the OBDII port and make sure there aren't any codes out there. My check engine light was on when I went last time and I plugged my scanner in when I got there and cleared them. They sent me on my way with a big 'ol PASS on my card!</P>

I am a little confused though. Sidwayz4.6 are you in favor of 3.37's or 4.10's. </P>

Hey Grandy, I have a brand new 70mm throttle body that will fit your Gt. I bought it 3 days before trading for the mach 1, so I took it off and tried to sell it. I still have it, and I will let it go for $100.00. I paid 189.00. If you are interested, let me know. </P>

go for the 3.73's......................lower the car 1.5 " all corners, get larger rims and tires, and like Mario Andretii said , I mean Dan <IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">said, a nice exhaust (xpipe), he recommends magnas of course, but they sound awful.......Flowmasters for sound are better, for performance power adders (Nitro, Blower).....and finally get a Girlfriend to shower around with your car<IMG src=smileys/smiley17.gif border="0">
