Default How to get 325+RWHP from a N/A 2V

Alot of people have posted and asked how to get over the 300RWHP mark for a N/A 2V. Right now, my car is just a tick over 342RWHP. So, I thought I would list my mods to help people out.

*281 4.6 2V bored .020 over (283 cubic inch) VT Engines prepped new block
* ARP head and main studs
* VT Engines Stage 2 port/polish heads with Ferrea Valves (220/195)
* VT Engines custom ground billet cams from Crower blanks (284dur. and 601lift with 114LSA)
* Comp Cams Beehive springs
* Manley forged H-beam rods
* Diamond 5cc dished forged pistons (11.25:1 compression)
* VT Billet oil pump gears
* Fox Lake Racing P51 intake
* BBK 75mm throttle body
* Stock MAF calibrated for 30# injectors
* FRPP 30# injectors
* CPR Billet high flow fuel rails
* VT Engines forged 8 bolt crank
* MAC long tube headers
* VRS O/R X-pipe
* Dynomax Race Bullet mufflers (3")
* Stock GT tail pipes
* Spec Stage 1 clutch
* Hawk Racing Aluminum flywheel
* SVT Focus fuel pump
* Steeda UD pulleys
* JLT True Cold Air
* High volume oil pump
* Moroso 7QT oil pan

Best run to date is a 12.4@112 mph, but I average 12.6's@110 mph. Hope this helps ya'll out. Either build your own or buy my car complete (because as some of ya'll know, it is for sale).

For suspension, I have Eibach springs, Eaton posi with FRPP 4.10's, Granatelli Motorsports tubular upper/lower CA's and Fox body rear shocks.

That's good power from a very well thought out build up.

Why did you pick 114 degree lobe separation? I'm not saying you were wrong, I honestly don't know 4.6s that well. Could you have picked up more power with 112 or even 110?

The motor was built with nitrous in mind. Power was definitely in the thought process, but I also wanted driveability. The car idles perfectly at 800 rpms. The cams LSA was recommended by the engine builder.

well i dont plan on gettin that much (only because of the money issue) but i do have a few questions.... i plan on adding a set of stage 1 vt cams, i know i dont need to replace the heads or port them or what not but i was wondering how much that will effect it ... and can i use my stock springs... my goal is to have stage 1 cams, udp, full intake, full exhaust what do you think that would make to the wheels... and then i was thinkin of adding a 100 shot, tryin to do the best bang for the buck ya know....

thanx keelan

A set of stage 1's with stock springs, UDP's, 75mm TB, C&L plenum and a 100 shot would be good for mid-low 12's with traction.

With those mods I could see you making close to 300 at the rear wheels, give or take a little depending on the tune. Thats without the nitrous of course.

Notice the part where he lists all his mods. Then makes sure not to scare anybody off by not listing the dollars and man hours invested
