70mm vs 75mm
I know alot of people say a 75mm throttle body is too much for most cars. However, there are alot of people (and dyno charts) that seem to support them. I have an 00 GT, with a Mac cold air kit, long tube headers, Hi flow BBK cats, and flowmasters. Should I go for the 75mm, or settle for a 70mm throttle body?
The deal with the 75mm not giving more hp is with the whole air velocity issue. If you make no other intake side upgrades, I would go with the 70mm. If you don't plan on heads, cam or forced induction or improving the flow with an upper intake plenum then you probably won't loose hp to the 75mm but it won't really benifit you any more than a 70mm. But then again, they say long tubes help intake flow a little from scavenging.
I have never in all my mustangs heard anything about supercharger this or not etc. You engine is a compressor and the more air in and out the more horsepower. I ran a 75mm accufab for years before I supercharged my car and it was great. If you get the 70 your only gonna limit yourself now and if you ever supercharge your car-Shane

alright, heres another question. I have a MAC CAI kit installed. the rubber connecter that came with it is tappered down some to fit on the throttle body, and it was enough of a pain in the a$$ putting that thing on the 65mm. Anyone know where to get one of those rubber sleeves, or should i just try to force it in?
