I know alot of people say a 75mm throttle body is too much for most cars. However, there are alot of people (and dyno charts) that seem to support them. I have an 00 GT, with a Mac cold air kit, long tube headers, Hi flow BBK cats, and flowmasters. Should I go for the 75mm, or settle for a 70mm throttle body?
Bigger is always better get the 75mm
Not true. You have to think about the air velocity. If you get too big, the air will not flow properly. 75mm isnt too big, but I went with the 70mm accufab. I really liked it.

theres a reason they make 2 different sizes. if bigger was better than why would companies make the 70 mm when they go for the same price. i believe if your going FI then to get the 75. thats what i have on my car. i knew i was getting n20 thats why i got it and had it on the car about 6 months before getting the n20 installed

Go with the 75mm and plenum combo, there has been no evidence it will hurt you at all. This is something i've seen debated over and over. People lie, a dyno won't.

Every dyno graph I've ever seen showed an increase of 2-5 hp when changing from a 70mm to a 75mm.Carbureted engines are very sensitive to size. This is because when the air going through a carb is slowed down the fuel doesn't atomize properly and metering curves are thrown off.Fuel injected engines with intakes designed like ours are only effected by runner length and tube diameter.Anything upstream has little effect as far as inertial "force feeding" the engine.

alright, heres another question. I have a MAC CAI kit installed. the rubber connecter that came with it is tappered down some to fit on the throttle body, and it was enough of a pain in the a$$ putting that thing on the 65mm. Anyone know where to get one of those rubber sleeves, or should i just try to force it in?

you should see how i felt trying to fit my coupler for the blower on my 75mm accufab!!! hahaha. it took some time but she went on.
