Make sure you have the washer out of the pulley as well as the bolt. I have never had my pulley off, but I have seen where you need a long skinny rod to go down inside the threads of the crackshaft, because the pully has a flat spot where the bolt bottoms out on it. If you can, get a mirror and look down inside the pully were the bolt goes, and see if it is flat inside there, or you can see the crackshaft. If it is flat and you can not see the crankshaft, you are just pulling on the pulley, and not pulling the pulley off the crank. I hope this makes since to you, cause it confused me just typng it al out. <IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">If not, let me know and I will try and clear it up alittle better.</P>

well on the end of the long bolt for the puller, there should have been a "cone" shape plug that pushes against the outside of the crankshaft...the puller should not go into the crank thread hole at all, if you messed of the threads in the crank, you better try cleanin them up with a tap or it looks like your taking your engine out for a new crank<IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0"><edited><editID>Black Horse</editID><editDate>38001.8585185185</editDate></edited>
