ya theres something called race pipes. They take the place of the cats.

If you live in a place that has emissions testing, I would highly recommend leaving them on. If you don't you could simply gut them and you wouldn't even fail a "visual test" if you ever get pulled over.

If you get pulled over and a cop looks under your car, he's gonna be able to tell if you dont have cats. Here in TN we dont have tests at all. I've lived here over 8 years and neither me or anyone in my family has had a test. Which is good for me considering I just installed my o/r h pipe. You can only use the race pipes with the SLP x pipe, unless of course you do it custom. Which an exhaust shop probably wont do, and you'll need a welder and new pipe.

LOL. Sorry bout that. I'm glad we dont have emissions, but there still isnt a shop around that will install an o/r pipe because it dont have cats. Its funny because its basically illegal, but its not because they never check.[sm=groupwave.gif]

^Thats how it was when I lived in GA, almost no shop would cut off the cat's, but once they were off no one cared.

rather than spend the 62 bucks on those and then have to worrie about getting them welded to the car i would just buy a cheap mid pipe i think you can get a upr for about 150 and when you put eh lt's on you could sell it and still be out about the same amount of money with less effort.
