I just got my magnaflow x-pipe today. SO i went out and jacked my car up and put it on the jackstands and started to soak the bolts.. then realized how the passenger side bolts connecting to the manifold look inppossible so i figured i could try and grind the pipe and cut the cat out of the way but i cant get the grinder in there. i have no clue how i'm supposed to get that SOB off. if you have any advice give it to me!!! its a 96' gt by the way!

Yep...on the pass side remove the 02 sensor with a 7/8ths open end wrench. THis will make it much easier and use a 3/8ths u joint and extensions.

I had to take my stock h-pipe off to put a clutch in. I had to use a long extension and a swivel. Its possible to get it out. But the worst design ever. I had bad luck though. The bolt was seazed on there and i broke the stud off the header!! So I had to take that header out anyway if I was going to drill it out, but it gave me an excuse to buy some longtubes and high flow catts. Oh well. But I feel your pain, just try to keep the socket and extension, and keep it as straight as possible so it doesnt slip off the nut so much. Now that I think back try and unbolt the passenger side motor mount, and jake the motor up, it may give you more clearance. I didnt do that, but it might help. I did it when installing my longtubes, you couldnt otherwise.

I just installed my mac o/r h-pipe the other day, and man was it a bitch to take the stock one off. I had to use a swivel and extension. I got it done, but it was a bitch. The bolt was kinda stripped so it was even harder. Just keep messing with it and it will come off. Hope this helps.

thanks 4 the replies u guys are the ****. its raining here today and tomorrow im gonna probablly be hurting so im going to have to wait until monday but ill get it jacked up, get some liquid wrench or something on it and just take my time and get that damn bolt off. ill post how it sounds when im done!
