4.10's or nothing! If you can drive better than BARBIE, get 4.30's!

I don't really know why I got 3.73s.....my friend had them and he loved them....so naturally he preached them to me.

I am not complaining about them, I do love them.

FOR ME going from 2.73's to 3.73s was AWESOME

But going from 3.27s to 3.73s........not worth it

i got 3.73 because i asked on here what i should get. people convinced me i needed 3.73 because i was getting a super, i did highway driving and because i drove a 5 speed. i know better than to listen to them now. 95% of the people that say that don't even have a gear swap and just go by hear-say.

That seems to be the way a LOT of tech is discussed on here......[>:]

unfortunately, yeah. i only comment on things i've had done to my car or i've actually read things on things i want to do. when i say read, i mean more than just the hear-say on here. google rules.

I have 3:73's and I like them..can't say I would take 4:10 over 3:73 cause i never been in a car with 4:10's but my 3:73's made a big difference..I've heard like dlazrael said; they are a great gear if your blown..im soon to find out when I get my kb installed..But as far as having most bolt ons I love the 3:73 gear.

I'm pleased with my 3.73s....I wouldn't pay to get them redone. I would prolly do 4.10s if I did it again though.
+ 1. I just drove about 800 miles, and i got 23.34 mpg on my auto vert with teh 3.73's going a constant 85mph. If I had gotten the 4.10's ::sigh:: I could cruise at 5mph less and get the same mileage since 5 mph= roughly 200 rpms in overdrive Sooooo, if you haul *** on the interstate a LOT, then get the 3.73's otherwise get the 4.10's you won't regret it! If money were no option I'd switch to 4.10's, but I do love my 3.73's.

I am a former Honda guy so I get confused when researching rwd gears. I don't know if I want 3.73's or 4.10's. I hear people say "if they could do it again, they would go 4.10 instead of 3.73" but I drove in a GT with 3.73 and it was outstanding compared to my stock gears. I also heard, on this site, that with 4.10's you will "fall on your face" after 110mph. Do you still get good trap speeds with 4.10's or is it all acceleration? I also heard you cant use 1st gear. Is that true?

I don't want to listen to half of you guys and get 3.73's and wish I had 4.10's. But on the other hand, I don't want to get 4.10's and end up hating driving my car because I can't accelerate normal when I want to.

All I can say is that if I floor it going 35mph (on cold tires) I'm sidways with 3.73's. If I floor it from a stop I redline spinning cold tires and I have Nitto DR's. 4.10's would probobly be faster at the track but I will not argue this subject anymore. When I get my new converter it will spin even more on the street. I would really like to see the difference on different setups at the track between the two gears though. If anyone has 3.73's and decide to go to 4.10's please get some before and after times.
