what does everyone think about borla stingers on an 04 GT (5speed). and what is the best X-pipe with this exhaust (keep in mind Good sound, performance)

 

i like the borla stingers i am just about 2 order mine it about 2 weeks.

 

I have driven cars with bassini, flowmaster's etc and IMO NOTHING compares to the Borla, I have one on my 02' GT and I love it. This is deff a case where "you get what you pay for" is true

 

I agree 100%, but I don't think x pipes go well with Stingers; I imagine it'd be raspy (Borla on its own is not raspy at all, btw). I've heard borla on several Stangs with h-pipes and they all sound incredible. Mine sounds great with just the cat-back, but not quite as good as the lt/hpipe/stinger combo... can't wait to finish my exhaust.

 

My friend's '04 Cobra has Borla Stingers with a Mangnaflow catted-X and it sounds sweet. Very loud with a very deep tone.

 

If you are going to go with an x pipe, i would recommend going with a catted version.. strictly to limit any rasp that may come forth

as far as teh stinger catback itself.. 100% grade A,,, even though i had a peeling tip, i sent it back to borla and got a new one for nothing more than the time it spend me to unbolt it, box it up in the SAME box the new one came in, tape it closed, and have the ups guy get it all for free.

it sounds amazing, loud, deep, anything you could expect out of a 500$ + catback

Love the sound Borla Stingers put out. U can sell the radio because Borla has the best tunes. Throttle controls the volume.

 

i love borla too... ive got bbk LT headers and a catted bbk X pipe and my borla stingers are loud as hell and sound amazing. i have been pondering to get rid of the cat's to see how it sounds since my rear 02's are turned off now.

 

where is a good place to get a cat back system?
