1500 for a clutch? Hahaha he needs to study his book more or learn to work faster.
How much are you going to get it for? Your topic says $9400 and then your post says $6800?
I can't tell if it's a good buy. Car fax means crap, believe me when I say it, if you pay for the wreck out of your pocket, there is no record on car fax.
Check the fenders for any tape marks, does everything line up perfect? Or do all the panels line up poorly?

no, i really want the cobra, but in order to buy it I need to take out a loan. And plus the insurance would murder me. So I would take out a loan to buy the cobra, then store it until it was sold and pay the loan back and get the GT. I don't want to have to take out a loan (at least for long) to buy a car.

better know how much your insurance will be. mine is 300 a month just on the cobra. if yours is anywhere near mine, if you buy it for 6800 (which is a good price if its in good shape) and it takes 3 months to sell, thats almost 1k just on insurance, then add your payments on top of that which will be about 200. add all that up, 200x3=600 and 300x3=900 900+600+gas = about 1700 in 3months. 6800+1700=8500. you'd only make a 900 dollar profit in 3 months IF you sold it for 9.4k. but don't be surprised if it doesn't sell too quickly, the economy sucks, and thats a lot of miles especially if its been driven hard. But good luck
what im getting at is, don't you think you can save up 900 dollars in 3 months

hmm thanks guys.
About the insurance. I wouldn't insure it right now because it's winter. I'd store it until summer and then maybe drive it around for a month with a for sale sign on it. I don't know if i could save up 900 in 3 months though. I'm 16, almost 17 with a job that pays like 130 per 2 weeks. I don't think I could save 100 every 2 weeks. 100 * 2.5 = 250 * 3 = 750. But that probably wouldn't matter because it would be in a garage for a while. It'd be painful to let it sit there though [] My dad said that he'd pay for the insurance as long as I kept my grades up, though I don't think he knows what kind of money he'd have to pay. Right now I have a 1996 saturn SL1 with 120 k miles on it. That's a HUGE jump up in insurance costs.
The wholeseller who's selling the car said that it probably wouldn't stay for long beause he's had some other people come up to see it. As of yet, the ad is still up though. The dealer's response as to why it was selling so cheap was that he wanted to just make a sale. I don't know about that but I can't find anything wrong with the car other than the mileage.
