whats the top speed of a stock 98 gt and what is the top speed with your mods (list them)

 

fastest I ever had her up 2 was 126-130 mph give or take (stopped lookin at the spedo at about 120) very scary, mods listed below

 

I have had around 140, but I wasnt trying to hit top speed just racing someone. When I get that high I fear getting throw in jail more than anything. The theororetical top speed of you car is....... At 5500 RPM in 5th gear, you're moving at 191.796 MPH

But thats in a perfect world with no drag, and an endless strip of road. Who knows how long it would take you to get there. With stock 3.27 gears in the rear too. Thats with the govener taken off. Other wise your limit is like 148mph.

I have had my 97 cobra up to right around 150 and it was still pulling . At that speed I could only glance.. wasnt about to take my eyes off the road for more then a split second. I did this on a very long, very open stretch of county road in the middle of nowhere that has no cross traffic at all. It goes through a floodplain, so there is absolutely nothing for a cop to hide behind.. I would never thikn of going more then 20 over on a city street or even on an interstate. I think due to the gearing in my transmission that around 155-160 is all I could have gotten in 4th and I know I wouldnt have climbed at all in 5th.. probably would have dropped.

147 mph.. scared me ****less

 

I got to about 136, but I wont do that again.....

 

The speedo stopped at 150. Little needle wanted to go past, Im guessing around 157-160 and still had plenty in her. Passengers were more scared than i was. It was an absolute rush. I need to go faster!![&:]
