How modded are we talking about? Those STI's are pretty stout from a roll and dig, I'd say from a dig, it could be close depending on if you have all bolt ons plus some DR's. The roll I would give to the STI.

the STI is AWD so it has a better chance from a dig then a roll because a roll it loses more power because of AWD right?

I'm not sure about the AWD and going from a roll, I just know these cars are too damn fast from either a roll or dig. You'll have to wait for someone with more knowledge about STI's to answer this question.

The STI will be better from from a dig than from a roll....AWD hurts them when rolling...I would know, my buddy has a talon tsi awd.

But to take an 06 STI....hmm.....they are pretty damn fast.....

All i know is on the highway from a roll STi's are insanely fast because there turbos are already spooled. They might lose some horsepower due to the AWD but i dont think much. Thats just what i think...

you will have a much better chance from a roll...he should eat you up from a dig especially if he knows how to launch it. i can tell not many people have been in a turbo car by the way everyone talks about spoolin and turbo lag. turbo lag is almost non existant as long as you have a properly matched turbo. stick a huge turbo on a 4 banger and it won't spool until 5k rpms, that's lag, stick the same turbo on a v8 in it will hit at 3k and once you are in boost it stays, unlike a centrifical sc which builds boost by rpms.and sti has a pretty small turbo and will spool to full boost within a second at about 3300rpms (and it will stay boosted between shifts). and rb just because its on the highway doesn't mean it's in boost, boost is controlled by throttle position and vaccum pressure to open the wastegate. it will still take a second to spool on the highway. that is why turbo cars get better gas mileage and can be much more streetable at high hp levels... it runs like a na motor until you mash the throttle. good luck darkhorse let us know how it goes
