oil capacity question
My stang didn't have the manual in the glove box when I bought it, whats the oil capacity for an 02 4.6? Thanks, -Dan

My manual says 6 qts. Mine takes 6.5 qts to bring it to the full mark. I called ford about it and they said 6.5 qts is fine, just dont go past the full mark and it will be fine.

6.5 qts. here too, I'm always an 1/2 qt. low when I change with 6 qts.

My manual calls for 5 qts on one page and 6 on another, but it takes 6.5 to fill it up, so that's what i use....

5 quarts. You can also call an auto parts store and they can usually tell you fluid capacities.

the manual says 6 quarts, and its right. The .5 quarts comes from the oil filter being empty. so total it'll take 6.5 quarts.
