Well if you are going to be buying LT headers soon, then you need the wait and buy a shorty x/h pipe to go with it. If you are looking for shorty style headers, then a regular x/h pipe is what you need.
X is louder at WOT
H is deeper at idle

I have the BBK X-pipe now and I like it, its pretty loud. Just make sure you get some nice mufflers to go along with your next exhaust setup. But from expierence I go with long tubes( or shorties if you get an X or H pipe for your exhaust manifolds now) because they will compilment any other mods you do to your engine.
As for which ones are louder I like the sound of an X over an H pipe, but thats just me.
