What do you think i should buy, x pipe or h pipe? I want maximum performance. Also what brand? Also should i buy headers first, because i still have the stock headers.

Don't buy for performance b/c there's really not much of a diff between the two. If you plan on getting longtube headers then save your money and purchase a shorty midpipe and lt headers at the same time.

You dont have stock headers, you have stock exhaust manifolds. Yes Long Tubes are best. Mid's are better, then shorties. X-pipe or H-pipe, isnt gonna matter much. I have BBK shorty headers, catted BBK X-Pipe and it is very good quality for the money. With those 2 items, Supership and an SCT tune my 1/4 mile time dropped from 14.06 to 13.69.

So i should go with the shorty headers and long tube x/h pipe...also what about gears. Does it matter all that much?

Read through all the "sticky posts" at the top of the 4.6 page, that should answer everything.

Ideally you want the following for the most performance: Long tube headers, off-road X-Pipe, and a good catback like Flowmaster, Bassani, Borla, or SLP.

i think SLP makes an X pipe that can be used on LTs or shorties. should probably look into that.

Yes, gears matter alot. One of the best mods you can do. Go with at least FRPP 4.10`s.
