I was trying to get 355's but mustangtuning was out of stock and they had a complete kit with 373's includung speedo corrector(Dallas tuning) and Royal purple oil etc, I also got the rear end rebuld kit with bearings and seals. I have almost 150,000 on my car and it runs as new except the rear is a wee bit noisy from the drivers side on left turns so its time to replace everything in there. Anyway I am afraid of losing first gear with too big of a rear,not that anyones in first for long but even with 283 stock gears I can spin the rear easily sometimes. The car pulls fine for me but since I am opening the rear up I might as well replace the stock gears which are probably at leats a little worn out. My installation appointment is next Monday so I had to order today. ANYWAY WHO HAS 373'S HERE AND ARE ANY OF YOU SORRY YOU PUT THEM IN.

first off you had/have stock 2.73's and you will love your 3.73's, but I bet you will be wishing you had gotten 4.10's. You will not lose 1st gear at all. Have them put in and you will be happy.

EDIT: I have the FRPP 3.73's and love them! Kinda wish I had 4.10's though

3.73s will hot, I love mine.....I wouldn't spend the money to get 4.10s...but if I did it again, I prolly would.

No complaints about the 3.73s tho

My 96 came with 3.27's stock. The 3.73's will feel great and they did help accel a good bit. Once you get used to them, you are always going to want more.

The 3.73s should give you a good bit of pickup.Ive got the 4.10s.If i did it again though id probably go with 4.30s. . . . .o well

I just put 4.10 in . At fisrt I hated the extra revs but soon realized that the engine stayed up longer, putting my shifts right in the power range (manual) highway driving is just as good 75MPH = 2500, RPM keeps the engine moving. Have not noticed any loss of gas milage, I am thinking that the higher RPM makes the engine more efficient

It depends a little on your other mods. With lots of mods like or a blower your just fine with the 3.73s. I do have them as well and they are just perfect. But maybe with a N/A engine the 4.10s would do a little better. But you'll find out soon.

Forgot to mention-car is a White body/White top, tan leather interior,17 inch factory 5 spoke wheels 98 Gt convertible 5 speed with flowmaster 40's and a cold air intake. My next mod is going to be MSD coil packs and 8.5 wires and NGK iridium plugs. Mainly because the coil packs are original and the plugs are over 2 years old so its just a matter of time before I get stuck. I have a set of Belden racing wires on now and 1 is a little worn from the hood insulation. I am on my second clutch in the cars life and I gotta tell you guys the engine runs absolutely perfect and not to preach but I guess Mobil 1 works, I dont even have to add between changes. Amazingly reliable car. If you don't beat it everyday you can see this mileage and more too. I am hoping for 200,000 before replacing the engine. My trans is great but a little finiky going into reverse sometimes,which I hear is comon on T45's.

You'll love them. Never heard a thing bad about 3:73's at all, except for they're not enough [:@] Love my 4:10's to no end!
